Chinese Whispers showcases recent dynamic and experimental work by textile group Studio 21 and centres on the concept of ‘making work in response to a stimulus/challenge and passing it on’. This highly successful and on-going project has introduced a shared method of working to the group which took the form of monthly workshop sessions. Beginning from a common stimulus and challenge, each piece in this exhibition is a small and experimental ‘bite-size’ work which demonstrates how each individual responded with diverse and personal work.
